The Tahquitz Inn at Idyllwild is pleased to offer the following special rates (discounted up to 25% from our new, lower 2009 regular rates)
for PCT through-hikers for the 2009 season:
Sunday-Thursday (non-holiday weeks) 1 bedroom suite $60+tax double occupancy
2 bedroom suite $80+tax double occupancy.
Friday-Saturday (and all holiday weeks) 1 bedroom suite $70+tax double occupancy
2 bedroom suite $90+tax double occupancy.
Additional persons (over two per suite) are $5+tax each.
PCT Hikers are encouraged to book on-line with our on-line reservation system
Just enter "PCT HIKER"* in the comment box, and your rate will be adjusted to these special rates when you receive your email confirmation.

We accept UPS/DHL/FedEx deliveries
labeled "Hold for PCT hiker (your name)" and addressed to The Tahquitz Inn, 25840 Hwy 243, Idyllwild CA 92549.
The Post Office does not deliver to street addresses in Idyllwild. If you use the Postal Service, please address your packages to yourself as "General Delivery, Idyllwild CA 92549". There is a $5 service fee for packages sent via the US Postal Service
to the Tahquitz Inn's PO Box (Box 3360) for us to claim and hold the package for you, to offset the costs associated with waiting in line at the Post Office to claim your package for you and transporting it back to the Tahquitz Inn. (Save the fee by shipping with a private service directly to the Inn, or by claiming the package yourself using the "General Delivery" option.)
The Idyllwild Post Office is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. On Saturday they allow you to pick up packages during a very limited time that seems to change every week... but usually is a three hour window sometime between 9am and 3pm. You may NOT ship any packages on Saturday, and as with most Post Offices, they are closed on Sunday.
* The special rate is for through-hikers only. If you arrive with a car and/or suitcases, you are not a through-hiker and will not receive the special rate. Management reserves all rights.
